Welcome to the madCeltic's Home page!

It's a marvellous place to be that you've stumbled into. The people here are fairly friendly but don't mistake that for naiveté, they are quite sophisticated in a pleasant sort of way.
We are Scots. Not Irish, Welsh, Manx or Bretons. Fine as those folks may be, we are not they.
My family and I take a great pride in the traditions and games of the ancient Scots. All my children toss in the Heavy Events at many Highland Games around the North American continent. Some of the best friends I have in the world are Professional Scottish Events athlete's and they have by they own fashion taken my children under their collective large wing and trained, coached and befriended them. For this I am eternally grateful.
As for myself, I have travelled to many Games as currently serve as Colour Commentator and Announcer at a few of them. I have had the privilege of serving with some of the best in the world, including David Webster O.B.E. and Robert Whitman (one of the finest Judges in the Sport).
I have the Honour of being a member of  the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games, one of the Premier Highland events in Canada and the United States.
I enjoy kayaking, canoeing, cycling and scuba diving. I have the privilege of a wonderful girlfriend, namely Lorraine, who is a number of years my junior but seems to think that's okay. Well, as a canny Scot, who am I to argue? I am also the father of three excellent children Adam, Jacqueline and Michael. As I mentioned before they are all Heavy Events competitors but if they never tossed a stone again I would still be as proud of them as I can be. They have never disappointed or shamed me or the family in any way that I know of and saying that today is a fine statement to be able to make. They make me proud to have children.
I am also available some of the time at Cosmo where I am known as madCeltic. Want to see my recurring nightmare?

Having said all these fine and lofty things, be it known.....
I am also a bit of a drunk! Huzzah!
